Children’s Ministry

We believe that ...

Through everything we do in our children’s ministry, we want to make sure that the children get to know God and His word, that they begin to speak to Him and hear from Him, and that they learn how to follow Jesus.

All children’s activities are conducted primarily in German with English translation when needed. We have a number of bilingual children and adults in our congregation.

We welcome children ages 3–12 to our children’s meetings each Sunday morning. Here we learn Bible stories and Christian values in a way that is accessible to the younger members of our congregation. Our time together is creative and interactive. Games and fun play a big role each week because it is important to us that the children feel comfortable and at home here in the church.

Prayer is the main theme of the Kids’ Club (ages 5–9) on Monday afternoons. The children have fun playing various prayer games and learning to know Jesus as their friend. We dance, sing, do crafts and tell stories — everything that a proper Kids’ Club should entail!

King’s Kids (ages 10–18) meet on Wednesday afternoons. The children lead their own praise and worship and then have a time of studying God’s Word together, deepening their knowledge of Him. Afterwards comes the fun (and sometimes exhaustion!) of practicing the dances and skits to be used in outreach. This group has been a part of our congregation since 1987. We go out to many different cities, on the street, and in churches to dance, act and give testimonies about what Jesus has done for us. The motto for the inter-denominational King’s Kids Ministry is: “To get to know God and to make Him known!”
